Brief history of the project
The project is a renovation project consisting Dormitories 1, 2 and 3 on the Özyeğin University Çekmeköy campus.
The aim of the project is to renovate the dormitory rooms and common areas according to modern accommodation standards in accordance with the new regulations within the limited budget. All three dormitory buildings were designed, and the first phase of the implementation was carried out in the Dormitory-2 building, where social areas are heavily used.
Dormitory rooms are arranged as single and triple rooms.
The main challenge of the project has been to create new floor plans, increase the social areas on the floors, and strive to improve the quality of life in the dormitory rooms, while preserving the existing façade openings and replacing only the partition walls.
In addition to the interior renovation, the facade and landscape were also rearranged. It is aimed to give a new identity to the dormitories with a very low budget.
