Brief history of the project
Yeşilyaka Housing Complex consists of 350 villas and the social / service units serving these villas, located on an area of approximately 600,000 m2 near Büyükçekmece Lake. The main objective of the project was to construct an organic neighborhood texture, a non-boring street silhouette and uninterrupted landscape axes. It is important that each villa is adjacent to a common green area just outside its own parcel. The masterplan was created by considering the lake view, land slope, landscape and the relation between social areas and the residences. 8 types of villas have been designed, of which 3 types are single-storey and 5 types are double-storey. Neighborhood- scale social units serving these villas, communal pools and a large social facility and an entrance building are also planned.
